On Friday June 1, 2012 the City Of Barrie in partnership with Barrie Young People Centres will host a Youth Battle of the Bands as we kick-off Celebrate Barrie, our community festival, which takes place the following day.

 

This year’s line-up will include performances by Sundogs, House Art, Have You Seen My Goat, the Hot Tales and Dead Residence!

The concert highlights Barrie and area’s young musical talent, ranging in age from 11-19, on the Star Stage at Centennial Park North from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, and will feature five musical performances. The bands will be judged by panel of local musicians and the winning act(s) will receive prizes including recording time at Lockhart Studios, a gift certificate from Music Pro and stage time at Promenade Days!

 

This free showcase promotes Barrie’s up-and-coming young bands while providing a fun and entertaining show.
