PRESS RELEASEGet Active This Family Day! Thursday, February 14, 2013 City of Barrie families have some exciting options to look forward to on Family Day, a work-free and activity-filled day that brings people together. Along with the generous support of RBC Royal Bank, the City has planned five extra family-time activities costing only one dollar per person or five dollars per family, with all proceeds being donated to the United Way of Greater Simcoe County. So your participation goes a long way!
Allandale, East Bayfield and Holly Recreation Centres will be open from 11:45 am to 6:00 pm.
Skating
12:30pm to 5:20pm
Don’t forget, weather permitting, skating is always free at City Hall’s Circle at the Centre!
Family Swim
11:45am – 1:15pm 2:00pm – 3:30pm 4:15pm – 5:45pm Family Gym Time
12:00pm – 1:00pm 1:15pm – 2:15pm 2:30pm – 3:30pm 3:45pm – 4:45pm 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Don’t forget to bring indoor shoes. Note: there is no gym at Allandale. Holly Youth Centre
12:00pm to 5:30pm
Youth ages 13 – 17 years who want to join friends their own age for some games, activity, computer time and more.
Fitness Centres
12:00pm to 4:00pm
