The City of Barrie will be performing snow removal operations beginning at 10:00pm on Sunday, February 17th. The areas impacted include the following streets, or sections of streets, in the downtown area:
  
• Sophia Street East   
• MacDonald Street  
• Worsley Street   
• Collier Street   
• Blake Street    
• Dunlop Street   
• Kempenfelt Drive   
• Simcoe Street   
• Chase McEachern Way  
• Fred Grant Street  
• Theresa Street   
• Codrington Street  
• Bayfield Street   
• Clapperton Street  
• Owen Street   
• Mulcaster Street  
• Poyntz Street   
• Berczy Street   
• Dundonald Street  
• Duckworth Street  
• Sampson Street   
• Albert Street East
 
Please ensure that cars are removed from metered parking after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17th. Parked cars will be ticketed and towed if not removed by the specified time.
 
 
 
Snow removal operations will begin or continue the following evening, Monday February 18th, at 10:00pm on the following streets, also in the downtown area:

• Ross Street  
• Park Street   
• Sophia Street East 
• Dunlop Street  
• Simcoe Street   
• Parkside Drive   
• High Street   
• Toronto Street  
• Mary Street   
• Maple Street
  
Please ensure that cars are removed from metered parking after 6:00 p.m. on Monday February 18th. Parked cars will be ticketed and towed if not removed by the specified time.
 
 
Road closures and associated detours will be coordinated and manned by City of Barrie Police.  Residents that require access to these areas can contact on-site City of Barrie Police for authorization.
 
Snow lift operations in the downtown area are an essential part of the City of Barrie’s efforts to keep the streets clear and passable for residents as well as emergency vehicles.  Your anticipated cooperation is appreciated.
