BACTS Registration
Barrie Accessible Community Transportation Services BACTS is a specialized bus transportation service for persons with mobility difficulties. This service provides transportation from accessible door to accessible door and is available on a temporary or permanent basis.

Who is Eligible?
- This service is intended for a person who, due to functional mobility problems, is to walk a distance of 175 meters (approximately 600 feet).
- Elderly persons are not automatically eligible for BACTS service. Only persons physically unable to board public transit vehicles are eligible for this service.
- Blind persons able to board public transit are not eligible for BACTS service.
- A person with emotional problems and/or mental disability may be eligible for the BACTS service if, in addition to the above, he/she has a physical disability that prevents him/her from boarding a public transit vehicle.
Applications are available from any BACTS driver, by visiting or writing the BACTS office, or calling either of the numbers listed below or by printing them off, filling them in and mailing them.
What is the Fare Structure?
The one-way fare for any passenger or attendant is $2.60. For the convenience of riders , 10-ride pass cards are available from BACTS drivers or from the BACTS office. Receipts are issued for bus passes upon request. (Fares subject to change without notice.)
