BARRIE'S BULK ITEM COLLECTION PROGRAM

Employees from Habitat for Humanity ReStore picking up a bulky item from a residence in Barrie.

The City of Barrie and Habitat for Humanity-Huronia ReStore have partnered to provide a bulky item collection program in the City of Barrie. This program is extended to Barrie residents only and the charge for the service is $25.00 per item.


To Arrange For Collection of a Bulk Item

  1. Call the City of Barrie at 739-4219.
  2. Press 4 and leave the following information on the Bulky item Request Line:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Brief description of the item to be collected

      3.    Habitat for Humanity/ReStore staff will contact you to arrange pick up within three business days of your initial request. 

Payment to Habitat for Humanity ReStore can be made by cash or cheque.

Bulky items that are arranged to be picked up by ReStore must be put outside the home as ReStore staff cannot pick items up from inside the home.  Once arrangements have been made through ReStore for the pick-up of bulky item(s), please place bulky items outside on your property, not onto City property such as boulevards, etc.

ReStore staff reserves the right to refuse items that are unacceptable for landfilling. Please note, no hazardous or liquid wastes are accepted in this program.

-DO NOT DROP OFF BULKY ITEMS AT THE RESTORE LOCATION-
