Fare Structure

We use the 'exact fare' system.  Meaning, a fare can be paid by cash or a pass.  Sorry, our transit operators do not carry change.  Fares subject to change.

CASH FARES $2.60

Seniors over 65 (with I.D. card) $2.25

Children five years old and under FREE

Visually Impaired (on presentation of CNIB card) FREE

RIDE CARDS

Ride cards are sold in groups of 2, 5 and 10 rides.

All Customers - 2 Ride $4.60

Adult Fare & Post Secondary Students - 5 Ride Adult $11.45    10 Ride Adult $22.90

High School Students and Seniors over 65 (with valid photo I.D. card) and Children - 5 Ride Reduced $9.85    10 Ride Reduced $19.75

MONTHLY PASS

Monthly passes are available in different categories and allow unlimited use during the month which they are valid.  College and High School students require a valid Student Identification Card for the pass to be valid.

ADULT $74.85

STUDENTS  - HIGH SCHOOL, POST SECONDARY WITH VALID PHOTO I.D. $57.75

POWER PASS - HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH VALID PHOTO I.D.  $25.00 (During school term Sept to June after 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday and Holidays)

SENIOR / CHILD (WITH VALID PHOTO I.D. EXCEPT CHILDREN) $49.00

ELEMENTARY CHILD $32.25   (Restricted to school days only 7:30 am to 5:00 pm)

GEORGIAN COLLEGE SEMESTER PASS $230.00

Semester passes are valid for four months.  A valid Georgian College Photo Identification Card must be accompanied by the user for the pass to be valid.  The semester will start in January, May or September.

FAMILY RIDE

Up to three (3) elementary school children grade 1 to 8 can ride Barrie Transit FREE when accompanied by a paying adult or senior. Student discout fare does not apply.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED

A visually-impaired person can ride Barrie Transit FREE when they present a CNIB identification card.

BARRIE TRANSIT SALES LOCATION

All passes and ride cards can be purchased at the Barrie Transit Terminal, City Hall, Allandale Recreation Centre, East Bayfield Community Centre, Holly Community Centre and Georgian College Book Store.
