COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE

Mandate:

The duties of the Community Service committee shall be to study and report to the General Committee on matters referred to it within the following subjects:

  • Engineering
  • Parking
  • Road Maintenance
  • Transit
  • Road Improvements
  • Street Lighting
  • Pollution control
  • Subdivision Services
  • Storm Sewage
  • Marina
  • Sanitary Sewerage
  • Utility Co-ordination
  • Traffic
  • Fire and Emergency Services
  • Culture
  • Parks
  • Leisure/Recreation
  • Horticulture
  • Corporate and Recreation Facilities
  • Airport
  • Transportation Policy
  • Other matters co-ordinated by departments with the Community Services Division

 

Notwithstanding the above, a Reference Committee may consider new business that has not been referred to it by the Council if the subject of the business falls within the duties of the Committee as identified in the foregoing sections.
