GO Transit Fare Integration Program

 

Transit Riders:

 

When you board a Barrie Transit Bus you’re on the right track because Barrie Transit is fast, friendly and convenient way to make your GO Train connection each morning and when you get home.  When you ride Barrie Transit to/from the Barrie South GO Station, your ride is “FREE”.

 

Fare Integration Program Conditions of use:

 

This “FREE” ride is exclusively for Go Transit Fare Integration passengers making a connection to the Barrie South GO Station.  Upon boarding and as requested, passenger must show the Operator a valid GO Transit fare media as follows:

 

  1. Go Single ticket, Group pass or Day pass with a current date that matches the date the Barrie Transit ride is taken. 
  2. GO Monthly pass with the current month that encompasses the date the Barrie Transit ride is taken.
  3. GO 10 Ride or 2 Ride ticket:
    • TO the Barrie South GO Station, there must be at least one “un-cancelled” ride left on the ticket
    • FROM the Barrie South GO Station provided one of the trips on the ticket has been validated by GO Transit on the trip prior to boarding Barrie Transit

 

Please note that all fare categories and types must have Zone 68, which is the zone for Barrie South GO Station, as one of the zones on the ticket.  If using a Zone 69 ticket, which is the zone for the Barrie Transit Terminal, you must be travelling to the Barrie South GO Station.  A Zone 69 ticket will not be accepted for fare integration if only travelling to the Barrie Terminal to connect to a GO Bus.

 

Barrie Transit Transfers:

 

  1. TO the Barrie South Go Station

·        Bus transfers slips are not issued when travelling to the Barrie South GO Station, you must present your valid GO Transit ticket each time you board a Barrie Transit Bus

  1. FROM the Barrie South GO Station

·        Upon request a bus transfer slip is issued at the Barrie South GO Station when you present your valid GO Transit fare media
