The biannual Barrie Choralfest is a celebration of our community’s love of singing.

Main Performance

This event features a mass choir of over one hundred voices with orchestral accompaniment and presentations by some of Barrie’s top choral ensembles. Featured soloists include rising stars Jennifer Taverner, Michael Nyby and Barrie’s own Marie Keeler. This evening to remember also features Bravado, King Edward Choir, Lyrica and Huronia Symphony! 

The evening's wide-ranging program will span the breadth of the Choral repertoire and include Te Deum by Antonin Dvorak, Loch Lomond arranged by Jonathan Quick, All You Need Is Love by Lennon and McCartney and Chariot Jubilee. Conducted by Oliver Balaburski, Scott Boyer, Floydd Ricketts and Steve Winfield.

Choralfest Workshop

Choralfest weekend kicks off with an open Choral Workshop featuring the Artistic Directors of Bravado Choir (Scott Boyer), King Edward Choir (Floydd Ricketts) and Lyrica Choir (Steve Winfield) and many of their choir members! 

From 1:00–3:00pm the public are invited to participate either as singers or audience, and enjoy three different choral experiences under the baton of three of Barrie's finest.  All levels of interest and experience are welcome and light refreshments will be provided. This is a free workshop, so bring your voice, your reading glasses, and a friend!
