Cluster: Data Warehousing & Security

In 2006, the Bank of Montreal (BMO) chose Barrie to build its 320,000-sq-ft Customer Data Disaster Recovery Centre. The successful completion of this project was the catalyst for putting Barrie on the map as a choice location for data warehousing and security.

In 2010, the RCMP retrofitted a vacant industrial warehouse to accommodate the confidential location of the G8/G20 Security Command Headquarters and is now the location for Cogeco's 60,000 Square Foot Data Services Centre, please click on the PDF below for exact specifications:

In 2012, construction of two major data centres took place: a second national bank and the IBM Canada Leadership Data Centre ($90 million investment).
