City of Barrie Landfill Extended Hours of Operation
To ensure a portion of the Landfill liner is installed prior to winter weather
conditions, the City of Barrie will be revising Landfill reclamation operations to 24 hours a day from Sunday, August 8th to Sunday, August 29th, 2010. Waste will only be accepted at the Landfill from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more information on this project click here.

02/05/10 - Fire Permits for Outdoor Solid Fuel Burning Appliances
Fire permits are available online or you can pick yours up at Fire Station #1, located at 65 Vespra Street between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. If you acquired a permit last year, you do not need to renew it this year. All Outdoor Solid Fuel Permits will expire on December 31, 2010 and applications for Permits in 2011 will cost residents $10/annually. For further information call (705) 728-3199. (More)
