The City of Barrie is seeking nominations for The Order of the Spirit Catcher Award (19 years of age plus) and the Youth Spirit Catcher Award (12 – 18 years of age). Individuals considered for this award must be a resident of Barrie. The award will be will be presented to individual(s), who have volunteered selflessly, who have made a significant contribution to the life style of the community and through exceptional achievement, have benefited others and brought honour to the City of Barrie.

02/05/10 - Fire Permits for Outdoor Solid Fuel Burning Appliances
Fire permits are available online or you can pick yours up at Fire Station #1, located at 65 Vespra Street between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. If you acquired a permit last year, you do not need to renew it this year. All Outdoor Solid Fuel Permits will expire on December 31, 2010 and applications for Permits in 2011 will cost residents $10/annually. For further information call (705) 728-3199. (More)
