Barrie Community Woodshop
The Barrie Community Woodshop (Victoria Village, 146 Toronto Street) has a well-equipped woodshop. Whether you are a beginner woodworker or have years of experience, membership is available to those looking to work in a clean, well managed, supervised shop. The shop is equipped with hand tools, power tools, and machinery for cutting, planing, shaping, turning and boring all types of materials associated with woodworking. A finishing room and tool crib are also available.
Evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 6–9pm
Membership is offered to adults and youths (16-18yrs) . To be eligible to use the shop all participants must complete a prerequisite shop orientation, which includes machine safety training. Membership costs $75 for the year plus a $25 annual shop fee. To sign up please go to the East Bayfield Community Centre , Holly Community Centre or the Allandale Recreation Centre. Adult & 55+ Programs
The 55+ Centres offer quality recreation, education and fitness opportunities along with events and workshops for individuals 55 years of age and better. Click here for current 55+ drop-in programs at Allandale & Parkview.
Adult & 55+ drop-in programs are also available at East Bayfield and Holly community centres. A great chance to learn, get active & meet new people! Pick up a schedule at either centre (or view online) for specific program information.
