Financial Assistance for Recreation Programs
City of Barrie residents experiencing financial difficulty may request Financial Assistance by filling out the form available on this page or at any Recreation facility. The maximum subsidy is 50% of the cost of any program or service and is limited to one program or service per family member per session. Forms can be dropped off at any recreation centre or 3rd floor of City Hall. Faxes can be sent to 705-739-4238
Don’t forget to complete both sides of the form. Drop off the form at any Recreation Centre (Attn: Renée Holloway). You will receive a phone call within 2-5 business days to advise you of your status.
Family Youth Subsidy Discount
If you have 3 or more children registered in pre-school and youth programs you qualify for a 20% credit towards the next time you or your family registers (excluding private/semi private, advanced and specialty programs.)
- Request a Family Youth Subsidy Form at any Recreation facility.
- Register and make full payment.
- Submit form to any Recreation Centre attn: Renée Holloway.
- Subsidy form must be in before August 9, 2011 for Summer 2011 programs.
- Only one qualifying program per child per session .
- Upon review you will be notified about your staus.
