Where are you located? Answer
The City of Barrie Human Resources Department is located in City Hall, on the 2nd floor at 70 Collier Street, in Downtown Barrie.
What are your business hours? Answer
Our hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on Saturday, Sunday and on statutory holidays.
I’m looking for a job. Where do I find your listing of job opportunities? Answer
All career opportunities, can be found on our website, under Employment Opportunities.
How can I apply for a job that you have posted on your website? Answer
Please submit your resume electronically (MS Word format only) and quote the File Number in the subject line to before the closing date of the posting.
Do I have to submit my resume electronically? Answer
Yes.   Always quote the competition file number and job title in the subject line of the email and cover letter and ensure that you attach copies of your educational credentials (i.e. diplomas, licences, designations, etc.) required for the job.  The Recruitment Team will be unable to process applications that do not contain verification of the required credentials.

The City of Barrie hires Summer Students each year.  Resumes are accepted until January 31st of each year, for the upcoming summer season.
