Mayor’s Office - "Committed to Service Excellence" I, Jeff Lehman, Mayor of the City of Barrie hereby proclaimFebruary 21-27, 2022 asHeritage WeekWHEREAS; Heritage Week is held to recognize the legacy that is the foundation of our community, connecting our citizens through shared values and creating a place of pride and social well-being; and WHEREAS; Heritage encourages economic activity, job creation and tourism; and WHEREAS; Our community is enhanced and sustained by its heritage places and spaces; and WHEREAS; Our community celebrates the past and future by embracing, exploring and protecting heritage; and WHEREAS; All people of our community both present and past contribute to our rich and cultural heritage. THEREFORE, I, Jeff Lehman, Mayor of the City of Barrie, do hereby proclaim the week of February 21 to February 27, 2022 as “Heritage Week.”
