Mayor’s Office - "Committed to Service Excellence" I, Barry Ward, Deputy, Mayor of the City of Barrie hereby proclaimJune 13-18, 2022 asYes In My Back Yard (YIMBY) WeekWHEREAS; Barrie is a vibrant city of people who take care of each other; and
WHEREAS; Everyone in Barrie deserves to have a safe, affordable, hopeful place to call home; and
WHEREAS; Societies where everyone can participate in and contribute to their community are more stable, resilient, prosperous, happy, and healthy; and
WHEREAS; Ending homelessness is a complex problem that can only be solved through collaborative and innovative partnerships, committed leadership, and supportive, engaged citizens.
THEREFORE, I, Barry Ward, Deputy Mayor of the City of Barrie, do hereby proclaim the week of June 13 to June 18, 2022 as “Yes In My Back Yard (YIMBY) Week.”
