Re: Neighbourhood Meeting to learn about proposed Zoning By-law amendment to develop a 6-storey mixed-use podium building with two residential towers above; an eight 8-storey tower at the corner of Owen Street and McDonald Street and a 20-storey tower at the corner of Owen Street and Worsley Street. A sixth floor amenity level is proposed to connect the two towers (File: D14-1645)

Notice of the filing of a complete application pursuant to sections 34(10.7) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, in respect to a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law for lands located at 18-01-25 Notice of Application - Owen Worsley McDonald Streets.jpg53, 55, 59, 61, 67 Owen Street, 70-74, 76, 78 Worsley Street and 55, 57 McDonald Street.

TAKE NOTICE that as of Monday December 11, 2017, Barrie Owen Service Inc. has submitted complete applications to amend the Zoning By-law.

AND TAKE NOTICE that a Neighbourhood Meeting will be held to discuss the applications:

            Thursday February 8, 2018
            7-8:45 p.m.
            City Hall Rotunda

About the applications

The proposal is for a 6-storey mixed-use podium building with two residential towers above; an eight 8-storey tower at the corner of Owen Street and McDonald Street and a 20-storey tower at the corner of Owen Street and Worsley Street. A sixth floor amenity level is proposed to connect the two towers (Site Plan rendering).

Public Meeting to be scheduled

A public meeting will be scheduled at a later date. Notification of the public meeting will be included in the Barrie Examiner, mailed to property owners within 120m (400 feet) from the subject property, updated in the project information at barrie.ca/ProposedDevelopments and included on barrie.ca/PublicNotices.

 

Anyone can attend the meeting to share their views about this matter; however written submissions are encouraged and should be directed to Legislative & Court Services.
