Community Groups

The City of Barrie is now accepting submissions from community groups and local not-for-profit organizations that are interested in connecting with the community. Celebrate Barrie is a great opportunity to promote your organization – its programs, services, and events – to Barrie and area families in a free, fun environment.

To be eligible to participate, community groups and not-for-profit organizations must provide a free hands-on activity for the community to participate in. Think outside the box and be unique, fun, and engaging!

If interested in being considered, please submit information about your organization including its mandate, contact information, and your unique idea for a fun activity to share.

The Celebrate Barrie Entertainment Committee is now accepting applications from local performers. We’re looking to create an amazing line-up to showcase the best of Barrie! Performers of all kinds are invited to submit – bands, individual musicians, choirs, dance groups, theatre companies, magicians, and more. Submissions from Barrie or the immediate surrounding area (Innisfil, Oro-Medonte, etc.) will be considered.

If interested in being considered, please submit a bio, contact information, and a few examples of recent audio/video for the selection committee to review. Examples must be included in order to be considered and can be submitted by CD/DVD, as an email attachment, or a link to an EPK, YouTube video, or website.
