Get Involved!

Celebrate Barrie is about showcasing our amazing community, so we are on the hunt for community organizations, performers, and businesses from Barrie and surrounding area that are helping to shape Barrie into an exciting, inclusive, and diverse community.

Community Groups

Community groups and local not-for-profit organizations interested in connecting with the community are invited to submit. Celebrate Barrie is a great opportunity to promote your organization - its programs, services, and events - to Barrie and area visitors and residents in a free, fun environment. To be eligible to participate, community groups and not-for-profit organizations must provide a free activity and be based in or serve the Barrie area. Think outside the box and be unique, fun, and engaging! Special consideration will be given to organizations offering new experiences, showcasing community diversity, and providing activities for people of all ages and abilities.

If interested in being considered for a space at Celebrate Barrie, email events@barrie.ca and include information about your organization (background and mandate), contact information, and your idea for a unique opportunity. Submissions from community groups will be accepted until Friday, March 20th at 4:30pm.

Performers

The Celebrate Barrie Entertainment Committee is now accepting applications from local performers. We're looking to create an amazing and diverse line-up to showcase the best of Barrie! Performers of all kinds are invited to submit - bands, individual musicians and performers, choirs, dance groups, theatre companies, and more. Submissions from Barrie or the immediate surrounding area (Innisfil, Oro-Medonte, etc.) will be considered.

To be considered, please submit a bio, contact info, and a few examples of recent audio/video for the committee to review. Examples must be included in order to be considered and can be submitted by CD, attachment to an email, or link to EPK, YouTube, or other website. Submissions for performers will be accepted until Friday March 20th at 4:30pm and can be sent to events@barrie.ca or dropped off at the Special Events Office (56 Mulcaster Street).

Vendors

Now accepting interest from businesses interested in vendor opportunities, including food vendors, artisans, and local businesses with products and services. For consideration, please send information about your business, menu or list of products for sale, and photos to events@barrie.ca.

Sponsorship & Brand Activation

As an event partner, you can build brand recognition through our promotion campaign and engage an audience of over 10,000 through on-site recognition and brand activation opportunities. Our partners are valued and contribute directly towards providing exciting, free programming for the community. Sponsorship opportunities start at $1000 and a limited number of brand activation spaces are available starting at $500 for a 10'x10' space. If you are interested in becoming a Celebrate Barrie partner, please contact the Special Events Office at (705) 739-4285 or events@barrie.ca.

This classic supernatural comedy that defined a generation is celebrating 35 years! But the paratroopers of the paranormal face their greatest challenge when the beautiful Dana Barret (Sigourney Weaver) discovers her refrigerator door leads directly to the gates of hell! Now with the world watching, it's up to the Ghostbusters to keep Manhattan from becoming a madhouse in this hilariously haunting action comedy.
