Development Opportunities

“Our leased space in Mississauga was expensive. We decided to build rather than continue to lease. We bought reasonably priced acreage from the City of Barrie and easily were able to hire the customer service and warehouse people that we needed. We’re only 45 minutes north of Highway 401 and we ship nationally so a central location is helpful.” – Don Skuse, Auto Sense

With Barrie’s continued growth there are development opportunities in different nodes including the City’s downtown, Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (LSRA), and approximately 5,700 acres of annexed land towards Barrie’s southern border.

Downtown Barrie Parking Lots For Sale

As part of its ongoing efforts to bring new investment to downtown Barrie, the City will be selling a number of downtown parking lots suited for redevelopment. The offering of the downtown parking lots will serve to accelerate growth and vitality through residential and/or employment density, and at the same time supporting the vision and goals for the downtown core.

For more information, please contact the Business Development Department at 705-728-9850 or invest@barrie.ca.

Industrial Land Opportunities
