How we Spur Innovation
There’s always something new happening in Barrie’s business community, bringing buzz with increased networking and conversations taking place. Invest Barrie, in collaboration with our community partners, runs various thought-provoking programs and workshops to encourage local businesses to think differently about their commercial landscape. By thinking differently, our businesses will be able to develop creative solutions that will allow them to better compete on both a national and global scale. With the help of our partners, our aim is that Barrie companies will be leaders in their respective industries, and sought after for their services. Related document: Barrie Startup Resources

Lego Robotics Program
Invest Barrie is able to bring innovative and thought-provoking issues to different types of audiences. In October 2015, Invest Barrie and the Barrie Public Library presented the Lego Robotics program. The program is designed to help kids ages 6-14 gain experience in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs by using a fun interactive approach to problem solving using LEGO building bricks.
