Hot Summer Nights
Some summer nights are so hot, even the wind can’t be bothered to move. What better time to head to the park with family and neighbours for a cooling fire truck shower and a visit with Barrie’s Fire and Emergency staff.
Every July and August, BFES hosts a summertime tradition at a different park on Thursdays from 6–8 pm. Event details are posted each year to this webpage and the community events calendar.
Residents have the chance to go over some lifesaving tips and reminders while getting acquainted with BFES staff. Kids can check out the fire trucks, participate in hand-on activities, and ask any fire safety questions. Domino’s Pizza is also on site, selling pizza slices for $1 each, with proceeds going to charity.
Events like "Hot Summer Nights" reflect Barrie Fire and Emergency Service’s vision of gaining your respect and recognition as a leading service provider in our community, protecting precious lives, property and environment. The focus is on Prevention, Detection and Escape.
