Non-residential waste collection
Industrial, commercial and institutional (IC&I) organizations are eligible for City curbside waste collection services.

Businesses and organizations
outside of the Business Improvement Area (BIA) receive every other week collection for garbage and every week collection for recycling on the scheduled collection day for thier area.
There is a limit of 12 bags/cans of garbage every other week. For recycling, four blue boxes, one grey box and five bundles of cardboard are allowed each week. Cardboard must be flattened and bundled no larger than 75 cm x 75 cm x 20 cm. If IC&I businesses are over the garbage limit, they can purchase
garbage tags to use for curbside collection, or take additional garbage to the Landfill for a
fee.
BIA waste collection
BIA businesses receive weekly recycling collection on Tuesdays and twice weekly garbage collection on Tuesdays and Fridays. There is a limit of six bags/cans of garbage per week. For recycling, four blue boxes, one grey box and five bundles of cardboard are allowed each week. Cardboard must be flattened and bundled no larger than 75 cm x 75 cm x 20 cm.
If businesses are over the garbage limit, they can purchase

- Search your address using the
interactive map on
Discover Barrie.
- Call 705-739-4219 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and staff will look up your collection day based on your address.
- Download the
City's mobile app (available for Apple, Windows and Android devices) and look up your address. Refer to your customized calendar within the Curbside Collection feature.
