Dan Fox, P.Eng.Engineering Project Manager
This project is an annual program to seal cracks in asphalt pavement at various locations in Barrie. The routing and sealing operation will help to prevent cracking and slow pavement deterioration in the future.
The crack sealing program is part of the City’s annual pavement rehabilitation work and is a proven method in extending the service life of asphalt pavement.
The crack sealing operation will be completed on various residential and arterial roads in the City. This year’s work is primarily focused in wards 3, 6, 7, and 9. See map to view specific road segments.
Estimated Start: October 2020Estimated Completion: November 2020
No service interruptions are anticipated.
The contractor’s work will be focused within the travelled roadway. Although the contractor is required to conduct their work in a safe manner, we ask that motorists take extra caution during the construction period.
Minor traffic impacts should be expected as a result of short-term lane closures for traffic control. Traffic flow will be maintained throughout the work and vehicles will be unimpeded from accessing residences.
