Resurfacing of Hurst Drive (Minet’s Point Rd to Bay Ln) including a new Asphalt Multiuse Trail, curb and gutter, storm sewer and the addition of on road bicycle lanes.
Project Updates
November 25, 2020: Hurst Dr. will be open to all traffic by end of day Thursday, November 26. The roadway, multi-use trail, line painting, and signs are nearly complete. Minor grading and sod is still to be completed. The sod work is expected to be complete the week of December 1, 2020, weather-permitting.

October 2, 2020Hurst Dr. continues to be fully closed between Bay Lane and Minet's Point Road. The installation of the storm sewer is nearing completion. We are expecting curbs and road grading to commence during the week of October 5, 2020 with the multi use trail and roadway paving to occur following the curb installation. The project is on schedule and is expected to be complete mid November, 2020. August 17, 2020Hurst Dr. will be fully closed between Little Ave. and Minet's Point Rd. from August 24 to November 13, 2020. Hurst Dr. will be closed to through traffic but local traffic, buses, emergency vehicles and garbage collection trucks will be allowed through the site. Impacted

Background
The purpose of this project is to address the deteriorating pavement as well as connect the missing link of asphalt trail to promote and improve the cycling network in our city.
Affected Services
Sanitary sewer, hydro, telephone, cable TV, and gas services should not be affected by the construction, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Impacts
Hurst Drive from Minet's Point Road to Bay Lane will be closed to through traffic for the duration of construction. Busses and garbage collection will proceed as usual. The designated detour route is Minet's Point Road to Yonge Street to Little Avenue.
