Bunkers Creek Culvert Replacements & Watercourse Improvement

The City is undertaking the replacement of two culverts to increase capacity for Innisfil Street and Bradford Street culvert crossings and watercourse improvements from Innisfil Street to Lakeshore Drive.

Project Updates

April 2021: 60% Detailed Design package under development.
June 2020: 30% Detailed Design package under development.

Project Features

The objective of this project is to:

  • Replace the existing culverts at Bradford St and Innisfil St that are in poor condition with larger culverts that can manage more water. This will help to reduce flood waters over topping at Innisfil St and Bradford St and reduce flood impacts in that area.
  • Restore a portion of Bunkers creek from Innisfil Street to Lakeshore. This will provide better opportunities for habitat in Bunkers Creek, provide an engineered floodplain and a natural channel design.
  • Watermain and sanitary sewer modifications will be made at Innisfil St.
