Dyments Creek Culvert Replacements and Watercourse Improvement
The City is undertaking the replacement of two culverts to increase capacity for Sanford Street and Bradford Street culvert crossings and watercourse improvements from Sanford Street to downstream of Bradford Street.
Project Status
January 2022: Detail design has reached 90%.
Project Features
The objective of this project is to:
- Replace the existing culverts at Bradford St and Sanford St that are in poor condition with larger culverts that can manage more water. This will help to reduce flood waters over topping Bradford St and protect our Wastewater Treatment Facility from flooding.
- Daylight and restore a portion of Dyments Creek from Sanford Street to downstream of Bradford. This will provide better opportunities for habitat in Dyments Creek, provide an engineered floodplain and a natural channel design.
- Watermain modifications will be made at Sanford St.
