Digital Bonding
The City of Barrie only accepts digital bonds for any bids issued on or after June 1, 2021. Scanned bonds (Bid Bond & Agreement to Bond) will no longer be accepted for bids issued on or after June 1, 2021. Vendors are encouraged to contact their surety provider well in advance of submitting a bid as the process may take several weeks. Digital Signatures
The City of Barrie requires digital signatures for execution of its Purchasing Agreements with successful vendors using the DocuSign system. Successful vendors are not required to acquire any software and are able to successfully execute the agreements in a secure manner without physical contact. When an Agreement is ready for signature, the vendor's authorized signatory(ies), as indicated in the submission, will receive an automated email requesting signature via DocuSign. Helpful resources:
