Culture can be thought of as the beliefs attitudes, customs and practices of a people and place. For Barrie, culture is a celebration of its people's experience, heritage, human creativity, imagination and originality. It is found in the arts, media, crafts, heritage, urban design, business, and in our relationship to our landscape and creative endeavours in all economic sectors. The City's latest Culture Plan was approved in 2025.
Theatres & Tickets
The City manages the Georgian Theatre and the downtown Five Points Theatre. Tickets can be purchased via online or by phone.
