This Neighbourhood Meeting is your first opportunity to hear about a proposed development from the applicant, understand the City’s planning approval process and timelines and give you the chance to ask questions. This is a preliminary meeting to provide residents with information before an application is submitted to and reviewed by City staff and considered by City Council. A Statutory Public Meeting will be scheduled at a later date, in accordance with the Planning Act.

Innovative Planning Solutions Inc., on behalf of 126 Ardagh Inc. and Found Development Group, is seeking input from the public on a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law for lands known municipally as 126 and 130 Ardagh Road in the City of Barrie. The site is approximately 8,000 square metres (1.97 acres) in area and is located on the north side of Ardagh Road, west of the Ardagh Road and Patterson Road intersection (see key map).

The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application seeks to re-zone the subject lands from ‘Residential Single Detached Dwelling Second Density’ (R2) to ‘Residential Apartment Dwelling Second Density with Special Provisions’ (RA2-1)(SP-XXX). The intent and purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to permit the future development of a 6-storey apartment building containing 153 units. For more information please visit the proposed development webpage.

This neighbourhood meeting will be held in a virtual forum with electronic participation via ZOOM. To participate in the virtual neighbourhood meeting, you will need access to a computer with internet service or a telephone.
