Registered charities and not-for-profit organizations can book a meeting room at City Hall.
A number of departments work out of City Hall, and Service Barrie staff are ready to assist you in person on the first floor. City Council, standing committee, and reference committee meetings are regularly held in Council chamber.

- Barrie Farmers' Market takes place at City Hall every Saturday, 8am to noon.
- The First Floor Gallery, curated by Cultural Development staff with the assistance of local visual artists.
- The Circle at the Centre outdoor ice rink, open (weather-dependent) in the winter months.
The City Hall parking lot improvement project was completed in Spring 2024.
