Holly History

In January 2022, City Council approved a motion regarding the development of an installation at the Peggy Hill Team Community Centre (PHTCC) to highlight the history of the Holly community. City staff, the Heritage Barrie Committee, and local historians researched the history and developed wall panels to be displayed at PHTCC to showcase and educate about the history of Holly. This installation shows the history of the local neighbourhood and its settlers, information about war veterans from Holly, as well as honours the Indigenous history of the area.
