Outdoor Rinks

The City operates and manages eight indoor arena ice pads and eight outdoor ice rinks. Volunteer-maintained outdoor rinks may be located in parks throughout Barrie.

Did you know? The Outdoor Recreation Facility Study helps guide the City in making decisions about where and what type of facilities should be prioritized in the future.

Volunteer-Maintained Outdoor Rinks

The Neighbourhood Outdoor Ice Rink Program allows for outdoor volunteer-maintained ice rinks to be set up in parks that have established infrastructure. Volunteer-maintained ice rinks closed for the 2024/2025 season in March.

Please contact Outdoor.Rink@barrie.ca for full information about parks with established infrastructure, staff and volunteer responsibilities, and maintenance agreement forms.
