Barrie City Council invites applications from citizens who desire to have their names considered for appointment to the task force listed below. This is an opportunity for you to participate in the operation of your City.
Anti-Racism Task Force
The City is seeking to appoint four more members, plus a secretary, to the existing Anti-Racism Task Force. Members will be appointed who reflect Barrie’s diverse visible minority population, by the Mayor, Council and support staff.
The task force’s mandate is to promote the facilitation of a stronger understanding of the needs of the City’s racialized populations and guide anti-racism actions and activities in Barrie. The Anti-Racism Task Force is jointly sponsored by the Mayor of the City of Barrie and the Chief of Barrie Police Service.
