Adopted Motion
- That staff in the Legislative and Court Services Department in consultation with the Economic and Creative Development Department investigate options to further regulate and enforce Short Term Rentals in order to curtail some of the issues such as noise, waste and concerns associated with people renting homes that are not their principal residence and report back to the Community Safety Committee.
- That the Barrie Police Services Board be requested to provide correspondence back to the Community Safety Committee concerning options for a tiered response by the Barrie Police Service to address complaints concerning Air BnB’s especially if they have received multiple complaints about an individual property.
