Affected services on Easter weekend in Barrie

(Barrie, ON) The following City services will be affected this Easter weekend:

Barrie Transit

There will be no Barrie Transit service on Friday, April 15 or Sunday, April 17. Transit will run regular weekday service on Monday, April 18. For full information,

Curbside Collection

There will be NO garbage, organics, recycling, or yard waste collection on Friday, April 15. It will take place on the next day (Saturday) instead. Collection will take place as usual on Monday, April 18. Yard waste collection occurs weekly during the months of April, May and June. Please have all materials curbside by 7 a.m. for more information.

City Hall

Barrie City Hall will be closed on Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18.

Recreation & Community Centres

Allandale Recreation Centre, East Bayfield Community Centre and Peggy Hill Team Community Centre will be closed on Friday, April 15. On Easter Sunday, we welcome residents and their families to hop into their local recreation for drop-in swims and skates (no registration required). The cost is $2/person, or free with a non-perishable food donation (with all donations going to the Barrie Food Bank). for details.

Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7/365; residents must display their permits and visitors are required to pay $10/hour (daily maximum: $50). for details.
