City creates Winter Wonderland in Sunnidale Park — Festive displays to remain up all winter

(Barrie, ON) The City of Barrie has created a series of Winter Wonderland displays of decorations and holiday lights for residents to enjoy at Sunnidale Park in the arboretum throughout the winter season.

Sunnidale Park is a popular outdoor space in the City for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and other outdoor winter activities. There are seven displays in three locations along the path. City staff worked creatively to deliver this feature to bring extra holiday cheer this season. Discover the City's many parks atbarrie.ca/parks.

If choosing to visit the parks this holiday season, the City reminds residents to followthe Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit's recommendations to avoid crowds and maintain a 2 metre distance from others.

The City is also offering unique ways to celebrate the festive season from the safety of home, like the City's onlineHoliday Light Display and the first-ever Virtual Family New Year's Eve Countdown on December 31.
