What's happening in Barrie this Family Day


(Barrie, ON) – The City of Barrie has plenty of events and activities planned to keep you busy this Family Day (Monday, February 17). Here's what residents need to know:

The City of Barrie is hosting the 6thAnnual Family Day Winter Adventure from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barrie Community Sports Complex (2100 Nursery Road, Midhurst). The event offers FREE outdoor activities including skating, broomball, horse-drawn sleigh rides, climbing wall, kicksleds, trail walking and a bonfire. Plus, meet some of the Barrie Baycats, get autographs, tickets and pictures with the championship trophy!

For those looking for indoor fun, all three recreation centres are open for programming (including fitness centres) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Family Day. Family Day Drop-In schedules are available atwww.barrie.ca/DropIns.    

Family Day Affected Services:Barrie Transit will operate according to the regular Sunday service schedule. Collection during the week of this holiday will occur ONE day later for the remainder of the week.
