On June 6, 2024, Bill 185, Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024, received royal assent from the Province of Ontario. As a result, the City no longer requires pre-consultation and pre-submission applications. Applicants now have the option to seek pre-consultation. Learn about the process below.

Before you’ll ever see shovels in the ground, there is an in-depth application and review process for proposed developments. This public process is essential to ensuring the City is designed and built to serve our growing community.
