During warm summer months, how we manage our waste is even more important to protect against odours, pests, and messes. A few simple habits can help keep your space clean and less inviting to pests:

• Clean your carts inside and out to reduce odours
• Keep yards tidy – remove debris, piles, and tall grass
• Store waste properly in carts – don’t leave bags outside overnight
• Use your organics cart’s gravity lock to keep wildlife out

The City has access to Emterra’s customer service records and trucks are equipped with technology that can be reviewed to assist with investigating concerns. This helps the City manage the contract and understand where there may be challenges or opportunities for improvement.
