Every field used must be booked and requires a permit through the City’s booking office at 705-739-4220 ext. 4505.
All fields are booked for the field specific use (soccer, baseball etc.) by the permit.
Any user group on a field without a permit may be subject to permanent loss of permit privileges.
No City of Barrie fields or parks will be booked out to high schools for football or rugby unless otherwise approved by staff.
All tournaments must be booked with a backup plan for rain or wet field conditions so as to eliminate potential damage to the playing field.
Major tournaments are only allowed to book 1 timeslot per day for soccer and rugby.
Minor tournaments and special events like House League requiring more than 1 timeslot can be booked at the discretion of the City (ex. Ultimate Frisbee).
Fields out of play will be signed and any unauthorized user will be subject to all costs associated with any damages.
The City of Barrie reserves the exclusive rights to close a field at any time due to safety, over use, or wet field conditions to protect the users and the field investment.
All fields will be monitored by Parks staff and By-law Enforcement officers to ensure user compliance with use regulations.
Fields are out of play and cannot be booked prior to May 1st or until the closed signs have been removed by the city.
All field lights must be off by 11pm.
No PA systems or loud speakers are permitted to be used in the City before 11am.
