Parking Tickets

The following by-laws each relate to parking enforcement across Barrie:
- Traffic By-law
Regulates traffic on any location designed and intended for, or used by, the general public for the passage of vehicles. Includes schedules for Paid Parking Zones, Rates in Paid Parking Zones, and more. - Overnight Parking By-law
Prohibits on-street overnight parking from December 1 through March 31. - Prohibit Unauthorized Parking of Vehicles By-law
Prohibits unauthorized parking of vehicles on private property of the municipality or any local board thereof where parking by the public is not authorized.

Pay Online To pay a parking ticket online, you will need to enter your licence plate and the ticket number. Payments are accepted online for a period of 75 days from the infraction (date of issue).
Pay Parking Ticket OnlinePay by Mail* Pay your parking ticket by mail (cheque or money order) to P.O. Box 400, Barrie, ON L4M 4T5. Payments must be made payable to THE CITY OF BARRIE and must be received by the City by the due date. Please indicate your licence plate and the ticket number.
*Canada Post workers began strike action on November 15, 2024. Please pay online or in person instead of mailing your payment.Pay in Person Cash, cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card are acceptable payment methods in person at the following locations during business hours:
- Service Barrie at City Hall, 70 Collier Street, Barrie
- Enforcement Services, 45 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie
Please be prepared to provide your licence plate and the ticket number.
Requests for trials for parking tickets must be made in person by attending the Enforcement Services Office, 45 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.

Pay Online The City of Barrie, in partnership with Royal Bank and Teranet, offers a secure and convenient service to pay for traffic violations and court fines online by credit card. This service is for payment of traffic violations and other Provincial Offences Act Part 1 tickets only. Pay in Person Provincial Offences fines (e.g. Speeding tickets) may also be paid in person (cash, cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card) or by mail (cheque or money order) to:

- in person by attending the Court Services Office, 45 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.
- by scanning the ticket to POA.Barrie@barrie.ca along with confirmation that you're requesting a trial.
- by faxing the ticket to 705-739-4292 along with confirmation that you're requesting a trial.
- by mailing* a copy of the ticket to the below address, along with confirmation that you're requesting a trial.
