The More Homes Built Faster Act received Royal Assent on November 28, 2022. It changes how development charges (DCs), community benefits charges (CBCs) and parkland dedication rates are determined and collected. The City is undertaking this project to:
- update its Development Charges (DC) By-law (completed June 2023)
- update its Cash in Lieu for Parks Purposes By-law 2022-079
- prepare its inaugural Community Benefits Charges (CBC) By-law (completed June 2023)
