Game On! After Dark 2025 (Ages 19+)

Event Features

• Barrie’s Ultimate Gamer Tournament, Hosted by the Infinite and Louise Show

  Gamers could compete against other players a chance to win a prize bundle* valued at over $800 and claim the title of “Barrie’s Ultimate Gamer 2025”!  The 2025 featured game was Call of Duty. Back by popular demand, We Got Game returned to deliver this high-energy gaming experience. The game was played on a PS5; controllers were provided or you could bring your own if preferred.

  Doors opened at 6pm and the tournament started at 7pm. Participants were required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to game time to check-in and confirm bracket name.

• OMG Games Board Game Lounge

  Attendees could step into our themed lounge and challenge their friends (or friendly strangers!) to classic favourites and new discoveries from OMG Games. You could relax, compete, and connect in a cozy space made for casual fun and epic board game battles, and purchase some exclusive board game merchandise! 

• Cosplay Mixer

  The Cosplay Mixer was the place to mingle with fellow fans, strike a pose for photos, and celebrate your favourite characters in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

• Escape Room by Escape Room Barrie

  An unforgettable adventure, solving clues and puzzles with Escape Room Barrie! 

• Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

  Gamers could jump into the action with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch! Offered as a friendly, casual alternative to the main tournament, this secondary competition was all about having fun and enjoying fast-paced multiplayer showdowns—no prizes, just good times. No experience needed.

• Try the New Nintendo Switch 2

  Attendees had an exciting opportunity to try out the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 system at the event. they were among the first to experience the next generation of Nintendo gaming with hands-on demos available throughout the evening.

• Retro Gaming Area by Retro Chase Games

  This retro gaming area featured fan-favourite titles from the golden age of gaming—courtesy of Retro Chase Games. 

• Neon Fun Club

  Neon Fun Club was the place to create your very own custom neon sign for FREE! You could choose a fun template, pick your favourite colour, and bring your neon masterpiece to life. The best part? You got to take it home as the ultimate keepsake from Game On! After Dark.

• Themed Drinks & Tasty Bites

  A variety of delicious food options were available for purchase, as well as themed beverages created exclusively for the event. Whether you were  gaming, mingling, or just enjoying the atmosphere, there was something to keep you refreshed and ready for more.

• Monster Energy Sampling Station

  Attendees could experience complimentary product sampling at the Monster Energy station and enjoy a refreshing boost during the event.
