Outdoor Sports Fields

The City offers a range of outdoor playing fields to satisfy all your sports and activity needs. Parks Operations maintains soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and courts. The sports fields receive an extensive Plant Health Care Program to ensure that they are in top shape and are able to withstand all of the use from the sports and school groups.

The Outdoor Recreation Facility Study helps guide the City in making decisions about where and what type of future facilities should be prioritized in the future.

Barrie Community Sports Complex

The Barrie Community Sports Complex (BCSC) includes 10 baseball diamonds and eight multi-purpose turf fields. See BCSC details & fields status.

Fields in City Parks

Barrie's numerous parks provide many sports and activity options throughout Barrie. During open season, status updates below are generally made by 3pm on weekdays. Field status is not updated on weekends; please abide by the Wet Field Policy.

Field Use Regulations
- All user groups and schools must comply with Wet Field Policy to prevent field damage and to protect the players from injuries..
- Fields out of play will be signed and any unauthorized user will be subject to all costs associated with any damages.
- The City of Barrie reserves the exclusive rights to close a field at any time due to safety, over use, or wet field conditions to protect the users and the field investment.
- All fields will be monitored by Parks staff and By-law Enforcement officers to ensure user compliance with use regulations.
- Fields are out of play and cannot be booked prior to May 1^st or until the closed signs have been removed by the city.
- All field lights must be off by 11pm.
- No PA systems or loud speakers are permitted to be used in the City before 11am.
