Barrie Community Sports Complex

The Barrie Community Sports Complex opened in 2000 and is located at 2100 Nursery Road, Midhurst. The 118-acre complex features ball diamonds, turf fields, and three amenity buildings, including Coates Stadium, home of the Barrie Baycats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take my dog to the Complex?

Yes, but dogs must be leashed at all times, and are not allowed on playing surfaces. Property to the north (MNR Forest) does not belong to the City of Barrie.

Can I come and use the sporting fields and diamonds?

Use of the sporting fields and diamonds must be booked through the City of Barrie Recreation Department by contacting 705-739-4220 ext. 5419

What are the hours of operation?

During peak season (May – August), the Complex runs 7 days a week from 6:30am – 11:30pm. NOTE: Entrance gates are closed based on bookings as some days can end earlier than 11:30pm
