Seniors 55+ Recreation Programs

There’s no age limit on staying active in Barrie. The Allandale 55+ Centre and Parkview Centre offer recreation, education and fitness opportunities along with events and workshops for individuals 55 years of age and better.

Read the 55+ Centres Guide for an overview of our programs or drop in to find out about the 55 + Centre membership programs and get a tour. The centres are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm with some scheduled programs and events on the weekends and evenings.

Virtual Programs

Seniors Centre Without Walls (SCWW) lets you connect and engage with other seniors through our virtual programs! We offer a wide range of programs from fitness, dance, social, wellness seminars and educational talks and more. SCWW programming is run by 55+ Centre staff and community partners and is free and open to all seniors in Barrie

Art Your Service is currently offered through SCWW and includes fitness, dance, social, art and more virtually through Zoom. Participate for free through SCWW registration. To get involved or learn more, contact Heather Kenehan at heather.kenehan@barrie.ca or 705-739-4220 ext. 5685.

55+ Membership

A 55+ membership entitles you to participate in all drop-in programs and activities 
offered in both Centre locations. Membership fees:

  • Yearly: $56.50
  • 6 months: $39.55
  • 3 months: $22.60
  • 1 month: $11.30
  • Day Pass: $2.65
