City hosting Flight Path to Careers in Aviation & Aerospace ahead of the 2026 Barrie Airshow

(BarrieON) – The City of Barrie will host Flight Path to Careers in Aviation & Aerospace on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the General John Hayter Southshore Community Centre (205 Lakeshore Drive). The free public event will connect attendees with education, training and career opportunities in the aviation and aerospace sectors as part of programming leading up to the 2026 Barrie Airshow.

The event is designed to highlight pathways into aviation and aerospace careers while strengthening connections between students, job seekers, employers, post-secondary institutions and industry professionals. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the skills, education and experience that support careers in these growing sectors.

Event participants will be able to explore career pathways and training information from Georgian College and Lakehead University, connect with employers and industry representatives, and hear from aviation professionals, including commercial airline pilots and former members of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
