Committees & Task Forces

Committees, task forces, boards, and panels support opportunities for public input into decision-making. Members of Barrie City Council are also members of General Committee (a standing committee), select reference committees, and select advisory committees. The standing, reference, and advisory committees listed below are included within the City's Procedural By-law. Calls for applications are posted on this website when there are vacancies to be filled.

Mandate: To promote the facilitation of a stronger understanding of the needs of the City’s racialized populations and guide anti-racism actions and activities in Barrie. The Anti-Racism Task Force does not fall under the City’s Procedural By-law.
