Summer Camp Job Fair
The Recreation & Culture Services Department employs over 400 part-time staff annually to provide recreation programs to residents.
Active Living | Program instructors, attendants, monitors etc. |
Aquatics | Lifeguard-Instructor, Aquatic Course Conductor, & Aquafitness Instructor |
Children's Camps | Camp convenors, camp leaders, inclusion camp convenors & leaders (seasonal) |
Active Living
The City offers a variety of active living services including drop-in fitness classes, registered sport and fitness programs, drop-in gym & skate and special events. Seasonal employment opportunities are available at the recreation facilities depending on requirements. These positions average 24 hours or less per week. All applicants are to be a minimum of 16 years of age or turning 16 by the end of the calendar year.

Aquatics
The City offers a variety of aquatics services and program opportunities such as: open swims, swimming lessons, and supervised waterfronts. Employment opportunities are available with our Aquatics Team. All applicants are required to be a minimum of 15 years of age as per the provincial public pools regulation 565.

Camps
Applications for 2025 summer camp roles are open until February 28, 2025.
The City offers full-day holiday camps for children 4–12, summer camps for children 4–14, and inclusion camps for campers 4–18+. Summer employment opportunities for students are available in a variety of camps, including but not limited to: sports, creative/arts, dance, leadership, outdoor, drama, preschool and more. The summer positions average 24–44 hours per week. Jobs are posted online.
