TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Barrie has passed By-law Number 2026-073 on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 pursuant to the provision of Section 34(18) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P.13.
AND TAKE NOTICE “that the written and oral submissions received relating to this application, have been, on balance, taken into consideration as part of the deliberations and final decision related to the approval of the application as amended, including matters raised in those submissions and identified within Staff Report DEV-012-2026”.
THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of By-law Number 2026-073 is to approve the Allandale Major Transit Station Area (MTSA) Community Planning Permit System and repeal Zoning By-law 2009- 141, as amended, within the Community Planning Permit Area and Allandale Major Transit Station Area Boundaries, as identified in Schedule “C” to By-Law 2026-073 save and except for the following site-specific By-laws:
- By-law 2013-119 (SP-486) (SP-487) (H-123) – 140 – 152 Cumberland Street;
- By-law 2020-073 (SP-595) (H-149) – 272 Innisfil Street;
- By-law 2020-086 (SP-597) – 79 Gowan Street;
- By-law 2023-035 (SP-630) – 181 Bradford Street;
- By-law 2023-063 (SP-635) – 17 Jacobs Terrace; and
- By-law 2024-072 (SP-662) (H-166) – 1 – 43 Essa Road & 259 – 273 Innisfil Street.
IF YOU WISH TO APPEAL the decision of the City of Barrie to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in respect to the By-law, you may do so within twenty (20) days of the issuance of this notice by filing a Notice of Appeal via the OLT e-file at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/ by selecting [City of Barrie] as the Approval Authority or by mail to the City Clerk – City of Barrie, no later than 4:30 p.m. on or before Monday, July 13, 2026 . The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day.
